How much does membership cost?
Membership is £36 per annum payable by Paypal when you register on the website.
What is the cost of attending a meeting?
Events are FREE for members to attend with the exception of full day events.
How can I sample a session before I commit to join?
Feel free to pop along to one of our events before deciding to join. You will be charged the non-member fee and should you decide to join on the day we will deduct the fee from your annual membership subscription fee.
How often and where does the group meet?
Will I be able to attend meetings as a non-member?
Yes. You can attend on a pay-as-you-go basis but do not gain any of the benefits of membership.

We welcome all businesswomen from any business sector in and around the Manchester and Cheshire area.

We will send you a confirmation email with your membership username and password so that you can access the Member Login website page giving you access to our exclusive Member Knowledge Library. We will also advertise your business free of charge in our Latest Member spot on the home page. Further more you will receive regular e:news, event invitations and information updates to help your business grow.
How does Handbags & Briefcases promote my business?
When you join, you’ll receive a free listing in our Member Directory that can be accessed by all visitors to the website. Plus you’ll be featured in our Latest Member spot on our homepage. You can also promote your business in Member Offers and provide other members with a discount, a voucher, a price reduction, or freebie to encourage them to purchase your products or use your service. We also share with you our pool of contacts, as well as knowledge and expertise from across the group.
What do I need to bring with me when I attend the events?
Feel free to bring business cards and promotional literature with you, as well as any small product samples. We love samples!
What types of businesses attend?
We are a very friendly networking group and have members from all kinds of business sectors. They are all listed in our Member Directory. Remember though, it’s not always the people you meet, it’s about information sharing and recommendations – you never know who other people know!
How do I book on to an event?
Will I have to speak publicly?
No, not unless you want to. All of our members are welcome to share information that will add-value to our members’ businesses. You can either discuss your idea with a committee member at an event or use the Contact page form to register your interest.ee.
How do I feedback my comments about the group or an event?
We always welcome comments about our networking group and sessions as it helps us measure the success of our events and is essential to ensure future workshops and events are relevant to our members. If you have enjoyed an event let us know using the Contact page form and we will publish your testimonial, which is free PR for you. However if you are unsatisfied with the networking group, group member or event then let us know and we will try to put things right.
How do I get involved in the running of the group?
We are always looking for people to join our committee so you will be most welcome. All you need to do is speak to a committee member at one of our events or let us know you are interested using the Contact page form.
What will happen at my first networking session?
For those who do not want to attend the event alone, we offer a Buddy Scheme, one of our members will accompany you and introduce you to existing members. Send us a note using our Contact page form and we will arrange for one of our buddy members to contact you.
