This was always going to be a good evening at the Bean and Brush in Sale as it didn’t rain!
There was plenty of taking going among the members catching up with old friends and meeting new friends. We heard the story of Clippy Mckenna who lives locally and has built up a business supply preserves typically based on apples into supermarkets across the UK and now moving into exporting. Great to hear a success story and Clippy gave us an honest account of how she built her business from nothing after trying a number of career paths. An inspiring story as to how having a passion can build a business.
As a total contrast we had a burlesque demonstration from one of our members, Becky Campey of Blush Dance. This stopped the traffic in Sale! Becky runs various classes through her business and also told us the story as how she got to where she is today in her business.
However none of us will forget the bus driver drive very sloooowly past the cafe. We all expected him to whizz around the block and have another look as he couldn’t believe his eyes!
